Iranian titles have shined at the August 2019 edition of the Accolade Global Film Competition in the US.
Short film ‘I am not an Actress’ by Ali Jalali won the event’s Award of Excellence – Special Mention while short films ‘Greyish’ by Eqbal Shirazi-Sani, ‘Deadwater’ by Hossein Rabiee-Dastjerdi, and ‘Amir Ali’ by Shiva Qanbarian grabbed Awards of Excellence.
Documentary feature ‘Dance of Life’ by Peyman Zandi and Feature film ‘Golnesa’ by Sattar Chamani-Gol also received similar awards.
Experimental film ‘Fimberia’ by Fereshteh Chalabi grabbed an Award of Recognition.
Short film ‘Fairchild’ by Daryoush Dadgar won Award of Merit – Special Mention while short films ‘The Reveal’ by Ehsan Mokhtari, ‘Hard Shadow’ by Neda Khanifar, and ‘I Killed a Person’ by Nima Aqakhani grabbed Awards of Merit.
Established in 2003, the Accolade Global Film Competition is an avant-garde worldwide competition that strives to give talented directors, producers, actors, creative teams and new media creators the positive exposure they deserve.
It discovers and honors the achievements of filmmakers who produce high quality shorts and new media. The Accolade promotes award winners through press releases to over 40,000 filmmakers, industry contacts and additional international media/distribution outlets.
